Product introduction

Sudachi Buri Fish

The secret of deliciousness
The Naruto Strait, one of the three largest tidal streams in the world, has the fastest current in Japan. The Naruto Kitanada Fisheries Cooperative Association, located on the western side of the strait, raises Sudachiburi. Due to the speed of the tide, the quality of the water is very good and the environment is ideal for breeding.
Breeding method
The Sudachi Buri are kept in a large fish tank, which is rare in Japan, to allow them to grow freely without stress. The meat is tighter and more finely textured.
Our commitment to feeding
We have jointly developed with a feed manufacturer a formula feed (EP) containing the peel of the sudachi citrus fruit produced in Tokushima Prefecture, the largest producer of sudachi in Japan. This feed is also environmentally friendly as the rind is recycled.
The effects of sudachi citrus fruit
The edible part of the Sudachi Buri contains more vitamin E than most farmed Buri fish (yellowtails). The antioxidant properties of the vitamin E prevent the colour from changing and the yellowtail from smelling bad.
Recommended dishes for sudachi buri
It is suitable for sashimi, buri-shabu and other Japanese dishes, as well as for western-style cooking with olive oil and salt.

Tokushima Prefecture is surrounded by the Seto Inland Sea to the north, the Kii Channel to the east, and the Pacific Ocean to the south, making it a fish kingdom blessed with rich fishing grounds.
Various seasonal marine products are collected and shipped domestically and internationally on a daily basis.
In particular, fish caught in the Naruto sea area are named Uzuhana.
