High Grade Fish & Shellfish, Department No.2

The fat fish section, as the name suggests, handles "big, fat fish". Centering on tuna, which is the star of the market, we also handle yokowa, swordfish, bonito, and other fish.

"Tuna" and "bonito" are called migratory fish, and are landed at fishing grounds in Japan and around the world, including bluefin tuna and yellowfin tuna.
We will continue to be creative in our efforts to bring delicious tuna from all over the world to your tables.

The Blue-backed Fish Section receives bluefish (bluefish) such as horse mackerel, mackerel, sardines, and saury from fishing grounds all over Japan and delivers them to consumers.

Oily fish is delicious. The fat of fish contains a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids that make our blood thinner. In particular, three types of unsaturated fatty acids, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, and arachidonic acid, are called essential unsaturated fatty acids because they are essential nutrients for our bodies. It is a well-known fact that bluefish contain large amounts of these essential unsaturated fatty acids. In recent years, Japan has become increasingly westernized, and there are concerns with that people are turning away from fish, but we at the Blue-backed Fish Section are working hard to increase the consumption of bluefish.
